Group buggy tour: friends, companies, and birthdays
A group buggy tour can be a different activity for friends, birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties or small teams near Coimbra.
In Vila Nova de Poiares, Tunes Enjoy offers guided buggy / UTV 4x4 tours — a group experience in contact with nature, trails, and regional landscapes. Subject to availability, operational capacity, and commercial validation.
Before booking, confirm the number of vehicles, capacity, price, requirements, insurance, and rain policy. General overview in 7 things to know before taking a buggy tour.
Quick answer
A group buggy tour only makes sense if the following are confirmed:
- number of available buggies;
- capacity per vehicle (UTV 2 seats — driver and passenger);
- maximum number of participants per time slot;
- price per buggy or group;
- requirements for drivers and passengers;
- minimum age, insurance, and equipment;
- schedules, shifts, and rain policy.
Until these details are finalised, the best step is to request group availability.
Which groups are suitable?
It can be suitable for:
- groups of friends;
- birthdays;
- couples in a group;
- bachelor or bachelorette parties — with clear rules;
- visitors to the region;
- small teams — for companies, see Team building near Coimbra.
Capacity: confirm first
Before booking for a group, confirm operational capacity:
- how many vehicles are available;
- capacity per buggy (2 seats);
- maximum number of people per time slot;
- possibility of shifts;
- available guides, parking, and reception;
- capacity on rainy days.
As our fleet is limited, we focus on small groups. For the process on the day, see How does a guided buggy tour work?.
It is not a race
In a group, this rule is even more important — each participant may have a different level of experience and pace.
It is not a race. It is a guided off-road experience with a controlled pace, initial briefing, and supervision.
See Is a buggy tour safe? and tour safety rules. For the guide's role, see Why choose a guided off-road experience.
Price and group quotes
Confirm the price per buggy, or via a group quote. For groups, it may make sense to request a quote directly from the team.

Friends and birthdays
For groups of friends or birthdays, the tour can be the main weekend activity — a different, outdoor experience near Coimbra.
In your availability request, specify:
- number of people;
- number of drivers and passengers;
- preferred date and time;
- chosen tour;
- whether everyone meets the requirements.
Do not promise decorations, cake, or extras without operational confirmation.
Bachelor or bachelorette parties
It may be possible, but it requires clear rules — capacity, behaviour, and company policy.
Essential rule:
Driving must take place without the consumption of alcohol or substances that affect safety.
The activity must be an organised adventure, not reckless driving. Confirm rules of conduct and consequences for non-compliance.
Companies and teams
For companies, the tour can work as a team activity or team building — with more structure (invoicing, quote, shifts). This product has a dedicated guide:

Drivers, passengers, and requirements
In a group, not everyone wants to drive. Before booking, confirm:
- who is driving and who is riding as a passenger;
- if all drivers hold a valid driving licence;
- minimum age for driver and passenger;
- whether drivers can be swapped.
See Do you need a licence to drive a buggy? and /requisitos-conduzir-buggy/.
Rain, cancellation, and mistakes to avoid
For groups, confirm before paying:
- whether the tour takes place in the rain;
- rescheduling or refund;
- cancellation for safety reasons;
- deadline to change participants.
Off-road driving may involve dust or mud — inform your group. Learn what to expect in Dust or mud on a buggy tour.
Mistakes to avoid:
- booking without confirming the number of people;
- assuming the price is per person;
- assuming everyone can drive;
- failing to check driving licence or minimum age;
- ignoring the rain policy;
- arriving at the last minute;
- promising passenger spots without confirmation.
In your availability request, specify group type, date, time, number of participants, and estimated drivers.
